The Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy team is a part of VUMC. Our team of dedicated experts have access to your patient's electronic health record to ensure streamlined communication. 

When the decision to start a specialty medication is made, we navigate the medication access and affordability process to ensure patients can start the most clinically and financially appropriate treatment. Our teams also explore additional funding sources in addition to insurance coverage to ensure each patient achieves the lowest out-of-pocket costs possible.

The VSP model ensures that each individual patient's journey is tailored to their needs. Our dually accredited specialty pharmacy program has complete therapy management programs for specialty conditions that were developed in collaboration with our expert providers.

From treatment decision to ongoing monitoring and transitions of care, our teams keep both the provider and patient updated on the status of the prescription. Both our embedded and centralized teams are available to keep lines of communication open and optimize both the patient and provider experience.
